Nestle India Ltd gains for third consecutive session

Nestle India Ltd gained for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 1177.6, up 1.39% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.29% on the day, quoting at 25052.35. The Sensex is at 81871.37, up 0.28%. Nestle India Ltd has slipped around 4.75% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty FMCG index of which Nestle India Ltd is a constituent, has slipped around 0.74% in last one month and is currently quoting at 55886.65, up 1.35% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 6.9 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 10.17 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark August futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 1181, up 1.5% on the day. Nestle India Ltd is down 7.7% in last one year as compared to a 1.14% spurt in NIFTY and a 10.22% spurt in the Nifty FMCG index.
