Canara Bank gains for third straight session

Canara Bank gained for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 115.42, up 1.93% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.37% on the day, quoting at 25332.7. The Sensex is at 82679.48, up 0.36%. Canara Bank has gained around 5.56% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which Canara Bank is a constituent, has gained around 0.61% in last one month and is currently quoting at 55147.6, up 0.45% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 181.65 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 136.35 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark September futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 116.35, up 2.54% on the day. Canara Bank is up 9.45% in last one year as compared to a 0.18% slide in NIFTY and a 5.01% slide in the Nifty Bank index.
