Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index records a surge of 4.60%

Nifty Media index ended up 4.60% at 1624.8 today. The index has added 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Prime Focus Ltd rose 7.99%, Tips Music Ltd gained 7.21% and Nazara Technologies Ltd jumped 7.16%. The Nifty Media index has increased 4.00% over last one year compared to the 11.56% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty FMCG index has slid 1.67% and Nifty PSU Bank index has dropped 1.18% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.70% to close at 22363.35 while the SENSEX has slid 0.76% to close at 71924.68 today.
