Nifty October futures trade at a premium

The Nifty October 2026 futures was at 22,723.10 , a premium of 35.45 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 22,687.65 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index retreated 123.70 points or 0.54% to settle at 22,687.65.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, inched higher 0.56% at 15.76

On the options front, maximum call open interest (OI) of 2.85 lakh contracts was seen at the 24000 strike price. Maximum put OI of 1.9 lakh contracts was seen at 22000 strike price.

HDFC Bank Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd and were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

HDFC Bank Ltd October 2026 futures closed at 695.8 , compared with spot closing price of 694.05.

HDFC Bank Ltd November 2026 futures closed at 699.8 , compared with spot closing price of 694.05.

Reliance Industries Ltd October 2026 futures closed at 694.05 , compared with spot closing price of 1184.5.

The October 2026 F&O contracts expires on 27 October 2026.
