Commodities Buzz: WTI Crude Oil speculative longs jump to two month top

Energy speculators increased their net long positions in the crude oil futures markets after recent declines, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Crude oil futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net long position of 196088 contracts in the data reported through November 5, 2024. This was a weekly jump of 44211 net contracts and pushed net longs to two month high.
