Copper choppy amid mixed stock markets

Copper futures are trapped in a range after testing lowest in nearly two weeks in the previous session. COMEX Copper futures are currently trading at $4.43 per pound, down marginally on the day. In equities, China's Shanghai Composite index saw continued gains and soared 1.45% to hit fresh decade high. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index climbed 0.93%. Japanese Nikkei average ended slightly higher. European stocks dipped marginally. The US stocks stayed weak with the S&P 500 closing lower for the fifth consecutive session.
